  • Kinda weird

I get the feeling that I get a lot more visits to my blog when I complain or am blogging about depressing things. Maybe it's true that misery loves company. People like to hear about others going through shitty situations but it's not as enjoyable or interesting to read about someone whose life is going well or normally. I wonder why.

It's been a year since the traumatic event with my ex boyfriend. I'm glad that I have gotten over him and am feeling much better. It was one of the most difficult periods in my life next to my mom's death. I remember waking up was difficult, going to work was difficult, and even just sitting in my chair I would get a myriad of sharp neck and back pains as a result of my depression having physically manifested itself onto me. It might seem overly dramatic to many of you, but to me it was really physically and emotionally very painful. As a Christian, it's our duty to forgive others, but I'm afraid this is still an impossible task given that I went through such an intense psychological hell.

  • Obviously I can only speak for myself, I'm not really worried about you right now, so I don't feel like I need to check up on you as often.

Also :') a lot of your happy posts are fairly short, and while they may be nice for you to go back to and remember things that brought you pleasure, they're hard to comment on besides a like button or a smiley face.

It doesn't seem overly dramatic to me.  If anything it seems weird to me that lots of people don't get deeply attached easily or seem to care about their relationships much...

  • @jedeyeyam - yeah, that's true. I don't have as much to say about things when I'm in a good mood. Haha! Did Steven send you your pizza pictures yet? Have you tried egg on pizza? I had it last night at a place called Cucina's. It's pretty good!

  • Just asked him about them :') I've had egg on pizza, but I didn't like the pizza.  I'm sure I'd like egg on a different type of pizza (I mean, I didn't dislike the pizza, but it was a no tomato pizza, and those aren't my favorites).  I also sent him a potential dinner invite (I'm throwing a big meal for a couple foodie friends and thought you guys might want to come too if able, there's going to be a *lot* of food, some dishes you've already had, but also roast prime rib, I got five pounds of it in a Thanksgiving sale, it'd be my first time cooking it, so it might be a disaster).

  • @jedeyeyam - wow, sounds good! I leave for Taiwan on the 16th, so I can make it any time before then.

  • Oh, we're definitely not having it before the 16th.  But we might not have it until Late December or early or mid January (i.e. I could push it back a little so you guys would be more likely to be able to join us).  When are you coming back?
