  • Sometimes I feel like I’m just wandering around half awake. My brain seems not so much rooted in reality as it is in some other dimension.

I attended a potluck the other night and I felt so detached from everyone. I can’t relate to their interests or hobbies. I feel like it’s hard to maintain friendships with girls unless they are introverted and weird like me.

  • I don’t usually like attending social events unless there’s food I want to eat.

  • I should probably introduce you to more of my female friends (although I really only have a couple other in LA you haven’t met, though I might make between 0 and 3 more soon), they’re all fairly introverted and weird.

  • @jedeyeyam – hahah, sure. I’m not sure what it is that helps me maintain relationships with certain people over others. I guess it has more to do with similar interests, sense of humor, etc

  • Oh, I didn’t see your response until now (no gmail notification).  Anyway :’D I’m looking forward to Jitlada tomorrow, not just for the food, but also for the company ;’D

  • @jedeyeyam – yeah! Can’t wait for jitlada. I’m already trying to figure out where to go next. Can we try red medicine?!

  • Errrr, Red Medicine looks *very* expensive.  I was reading one yelp review, it said it’s small plates, two people ordered five plates, bill was $180.  Even if it was only $60 a person, I could only afford a meal like that once or twice a year, and there are a few places higher up on my expensive meal list :’D  (Saddlepeak Lodge, Animal, and Nobu— at happy hour).

Or as this reviewer put it:

“The food seems like a great idea in theory, but in actuality, it was kind of a train wreck. Some food items literally looked like a center piece for a funky Los Angeles wedding (in a bowl with what might seem like a plant a top the food *pile*). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against trying weird food items, after all I’ve eaten fish eye balls, pig ears, starfish, and scorpion to name a few – as long as they taste good, I’m in…but the food items we had at Red Medicine were not all that great, especially for the price (I would put great emphasis on especially, but I don’t think Yelp accepts my novice HTML skills).”

Let’s see if Jaqueline has a suggestion?  It’s been a while since she mentioned something?  Personally, I’d really like to eat somewhere in the SGV area.  Our group hasn’t been there since Hunan Chili King.  I think that was the second place we went.
